“Pride and Tradition”

It is with great pride and excitement that I write this as Principal at Pompton Lakes High School. I want to warmly welcome you to the 2024-25 school year. As your Principal, I am humbled and pleased to work collaboratively with our dedicated staff and community to help provide an excellent educational experience for our students. PLHS is known as a school full of pride and rich in tradition. I look forward to working with all of you as we ensure each student is provided an opportunity for the highest quality of education possible.

Our goal is to develop strong social skills, exemplary character, scholarship, service, leadership, and citizenship for all members of the school community. We cultivate innovation through the development of 21st Century Learning Skills (Collaboration, Communication, Creativity and Critical Thinking). Our school community is committed to equality and excellence by ensuring that every student understands how to use the curriculum to create a meaningful impact on the world around them. Each individual in our school environment will feel valued and have access to opportunities and support to achieve their greatest potential and succeed. I truly believe parents, teachers, support staff, and school leadership all have an important role in encouraging our students to become active learners. It is my sincere desire to provide opportunities for our students to acquire the skills necessary to find success in their post-secondary plans.

It is an honor to be the Principal of Pompton Lakes High School. I look forward to working collaboratively with all of you to provide an outstanding education and experience to all students of this community and continue the tradition of excellence at PLHS.

I urge you to follow "our" story together via our social media channels and invite you to contribute any of your personal (student or parent/guardian) accomplishments or newsworthy items by sending me your pics, videos, and a blurb to my email at: swisniewski@plps.org
